Our visit far exceeded my expectations and the girls’ too. It was so informative and fun! We are a troop of animal lovers and I am sure we will do more with and for the SPCA in the future. FKSPCA Spring Social
The Key West Golf Club provided a scenic venue for our annual Spring Social to raise money to build a much-needed new, safe shelter for the animals in our care. Originally conceived by board member Christopher Rounds, who also happens to be co-owner of one of Key West’s finest restaurant’s, Antonia’s, this event combines good food with the largest silent auction in Key West. Board member Georgia Favelli and Lisa Cowen, a long-time FKSPCA volunteer, were largely responsible for collecting over 500 items – an astonishing feat!Other board members and loyal volunteers, ably organized by our treasurer, Sue Turner, made sure everyone the event ran smoothly. Thanks to everyone who donated auction items or gave of their time. Your efforts have brought us another step closer to our goal.
